Open carry on fast track in Texas Senate

For those of us who know Dan Patrick the news stories last week about him not supporting open carry were clearly media propaganda.....

The following is the link to the progress of the bill:

Get ready to testify, make calls, spread the word......

SB342 is in Joan Huffman's committee. Please call Joan Huffman and tell her to set a hearing on Constitutional Carry. Be diplomatic.... (512) 463-0117

Koni Burton just signed on as a co-author. Here is the link to the whole list of senators on the State affairs committee: http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/Commi...&CmteCode=C570

Let's start contacting them and warming them up to the idea of Constitutional Carry!

Just a FYI ... deadlines are guidelines; they can break them anytime and their breaking of them indicates that they just decided to abate the deadline this time.

Rick Perry doesn't want constitutional carry. Will that matter?
“If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind? ” -Bastiat

I don't "need" to openly carry a handgun or own an "assault weapon" any more than Rosa Parks needed a seat on the bus.

Pft no. Who's Rick Perry? There's a copy of HB195 with Abbott's signature on it. He will sign whatever bill reaches him. I don't give two farts about our ex-governor's (ignorant) opinion and I doubt many others really do.

LOL LOL. Funny. George W was for the "assault weapons" ban and that didn't stop him from "serving" 8 years.

That's the catch. I'm very excited to see. If you're right, then your neocons are significantly better than ours and I might have to consider moving!

There are house reps that share Rick Perry's sentiments, for sure. They're being worked on... And their records will be remembered.

Testify tomorrow ON SB11 and SB17

You have the choice of testifying FOR, AGAINST, or ON... Tomorrow Campus carry SB11 and Licensed Open carry SB17 (formerly SB346) is scheduled for hearing in the State Affairs committee at the Capitol in Austin.

If you're close to Austin and wanna swing by and testify, here's a link of what you need to know and bring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Knbo...ature=youtu.be
