According to a member of another forum the campus carry bill was changed to allow licensed OC. I assume he's speaking about the part in bold. Is he reading this right?

bill to be entitled
An act relating to licenses to carry concealed weapons
or firearms; amending s. 790.06, F.S.; deleting a
provision prohibiting concealed carry licensees from
openly carrying a handgun
or carrying a concealed
weapon or firearm into a college or university
facility; providing an effective date.

No, he's reading it very wrongly.

Campus carry will be concealed carry by permit only, subject to probable neocon pussyfoot liberal amendments barring CC in classrooms. This will make it useless but hey, it looks pro gun on paper. Watch what happens in its Senate stops. I'd say the bill as currently written has about a 50% chance.

General OC, or open carry anywhere besides the exceptions in 790.25 will be illegal for many years. If OC does ever become legal, they'll be sure to make sure you have to carry concealed in the food courts, parking lots, and courtyards of university campuses (where CC will be uselessly allowed).

Nope, not even close.

Here is a copy and paste from that thread with an excellent explanation:

The bill, currently, does nothing but delete the location restriction on CWFL holders for college or university facilities.

It will still be unlawful to carry a firearm openly anywhere, 790.053, unless involved in one of the situations listed in 790.25(3).

Plus it is still unlawful to carry a firearm on the property of any school. 790.115(2)(a).
