I bought my short in length jacket and short in length coat with the thought in mind of tucking them behind my sidearm in the winter. So I have no problem OCing summer, spring, winter, or fall. If I'm awake and it's legal where I am then I'm OCing.

And I don't care how the "Be a real man and cover up your gun so you don't scare the wimmen, kids, and timid men." folks who think hiding your rights will protect those rights .... FEEL... about it either.

Am I the only one here who OC's in the summer, simply because I'm too lazy to conceal or attempting to do so would be ridiculous with only a t-shirt? :dude:

What MAC702 said.;)

Same here. I have a designated "OC sweater" that works wonderfully with my holsters (OWB). That's really the only time I "dress around the gun". Since it rarely gets cold enough to wear that down here in Tucson, AZ or in Phoenix, AZ, I don't do it quite often.
@Bikenut: The second part I bolded would be a great sig line.

Conversely, there are many here who OC normally, but wind up concealing often in the winter rather than do weird things with coats.

That's my philosophy in northern New Hampshire (Ayoob's state of residence for decades): I am always OC; you just can't always see it, because I might be wearing something more on the outside.

But then he comes out with

I do open carry a few times a year in public, just to gauge typical response, and have done so in jurisdictions from New Hampshire and Connecticut to Washington State. Most folks don’t even notice.

thaty pretty much destroys everything said so far.

Really? That's what I notice: That most people don't notice. Most of those who do don't appear to care.
