    Freedom Act! Well not really.

They should stop lying. This is not the Freedom Act, the Patriot Act was not patriotic. When these two groups of yahoos are your only choice for rulers.....(the ideal being zero) tyranny will continue to march on and on and on.

    U.S. v. Minker, 350 US 179, at page 187
"Because of what appears to be a lawful command on the surface, many citizens, because
of their respect for what only appears to be a law, are cunningly coerced into waiving their
    rights, due to ignorance." (Paraphrased)

Remedy? Local cops (state and lower) arrest federales for violating the rights of their state's citizens.
"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." - Thomas Jefferson.

"Better that ten guilty persons escape, than that one innocent suffer" - English jurist William Blackstone.
It is AFAIK original to me. Compromise is failure on the installment plan, particularly when dealing with so intractable an opponent as ignorance. - Nightmare

That would be a good start. The people should start insisting on salutory neglect.

A little bit of a break down how this actually makes some aspects of the patriot act worse.

Specifically, arresting federales who violate the rights of citizens who are not the target of the federales. Denying access/use to/of a property owner's property.

Also, federales arresting a local cop for violating a citizen's rights and letting a judge sort it out.
