Maybe the fine folks of OC.org can help me on my quest. I have a S&W 686 plus, 4" barrel, with a dark rosewood grip, and I'd love to get a really nice leather holster to complement this beautiful piece of machinery. The things that Wrights puts out look incredible, but I don't want my gun to be mostly covered. I'd like for at least some of the barrel visible. Something like this http://www.cowboyneeds.com/246.html or perhaps this http://www.cowboyneeds.com/420.html, but with more elegance, if that makes any sense. Thanks in advance. I'll hang up and listen to your answers.

"custom holster maker"

stand back, you could get your toes hurt with all the hits spilling out of your browser.

The really good ones will work with you even starting with a sketch. Just don't expect to get it real soon - being really good they have a lot of folks wanting their products.

stay safe.

I know everyone has their own favorite brands, but I've always gone to http://www.daltechforce.com for gun accessories. They have a molded holster that slides right onto your belt which might work well for you.

Another vote for Daltech...had them make me a custom belt slide with retention strap for my Star BM9.
