    OC Normalization

Just a thought to try to establish a recurring OC meetup in the Greater STL area for the summer. The idea being to not have a large presence (OC/media/anti's), overt OC or to create a statement, but to establish OC as a norm and to help the public get used to it in a way that doesn't happen with just the rare observance of an individual OC'ing. As an idea, establish a restaurant to get together at every Saturday for lunch. Not that I would expect anyone to go every week, but if 4-5 different individuals show up each week we could maintain a steady presence. The goal would be when people ask, they get a response like, "yeah, there's 4-5 here every week and we've never had a problem."

    Couple of suggestions:
    1. Someplace in chesterfield valley. Maybe even one of the outdoor malls that would provide a lot of foot traffic. Would be nice if we could find patio seating at a spot there.
    2. Delmar loop. Not too familiar with the area, but ate at Fritz's and they didn't raise an issue with OC. Also walked around and there seemed to be several areas with patio seating. Also passed several officers who either didn't notice or didn't care.

    What does everyone think?

I think the idea is great, although weekly may prove unrealistic. There was (is?) a group that used to get together for coffee in St. Charles pre-OC preemption w/CCW inside the 270 loop. I just wish I lived closer so I could regularly attend. It great to break bread with like minded people yesterday.

Not sure how a weekly meet-up at a restaurant would expose more people to OC than an OCers going about their life and business, but, sure! go for it!

I saw an OCer in my area just the other day. We're everywhere! Mu ha ha ha ha!
I'll make you an offer: I will argue and fight for all of your rights, if you will do the same for me. That is the only way freedom can work. We have to respect all rights, all the time--and strive to win the rights of the other guy as much as for ourselves.

If I am equal to another, how can I legitimately govern him without his express individual consent?

There is no human being on earth I hate so much I would actually vote to inflict government upon him.

    STL Daniel,

I would be up for meeting in the Chesterfireld Valley area. I live in Lincoln County so STL is a bit of a drive, but Chesterfield is definatly in my "area of operation". Name a date an place and I will meet up with ya.

Was driving past the outlet's so I stopped in real quick. Surprisingly, I could not find a single no guns sign anywhere. Not on any of the entrances to the mall, nor on a single shop. However, they just seem to have an indoor food court. Considering how busy that could get on a weekend, huddled groups in line at a food court do not seem conducive to O.C.

However, The Brick House in the valley has a special on their website. Until July 4th, with a donation to Operation Homefront, you receive a free appetizer (w/ $5 donation) or free entree (w/$10 donation). Sounds like a great opportunity to meet some new O.C. friends and give back to those fighting for our freedoms.

I'll be there for lunch, 12:30 pm, Brick House on Saturday, June 27th. Anyone who would like to join me is welcome. Rsvp so I'll reserve a table for us.
