I think that's a bad idea AKA law violation but what's the current scoop?

Windsor VA is having an Independence Day party and fireworks, it is going to be on a closed street that runs right by Windsor High School. I do NOT have a current CHP.

To add insult to injury, the handicap parking is on school property; my wife will be in a wheelchair and I am the motor.

Even not considering the handicap issue, should I find a different venue?

You'll be ok off school property except for the federal 1000 ft law which is mostly ignored, but the parking is a deal killer. Same problem with some tea party events.

Has been a problem with the Chesterfield County Fair also - parking is on property of several schools. Have tried to get shuttle service so could park on Courthouse lots after business hours.

Can you get permission to park at Windsor Christian Church? Would the walk from there be doable?

stay safe.
