I swear these are some messed up gun laws. I got a my license transfered to here now trying to get my CCDW in FL and I have to jump through hoops because I don't have a certificate saying I took a course then go get all this crap done that KY continues to run background checks on me and is valid. Should be so much easier and why no open carry, I have to leave my gun locked away in my vehicle or home so someone can come steal it... smh

Perhaps it would have been advisable to check the laws of the state before you moved.

Sometimes the move is not voluntary.

Given the proper introductions and instruction, this sounds like this could turn into a powerful member of the FL OC movement.

Having gotten that out of the way - Welcome maxjivi05, to OCDO. Hope to see you around the cracker barrel often. (And yes, that is a reference to Floridians. :p)

stay safe.

Lol, the move was work related and married. Yes I'm originally from FL but lived in KY for 11 years. Thanks.

My comment was a reference to waiting until after one arrives in their new state of residence and complaining about the requirements/laws instead of checking those requirements/laws before leaving one's current state (which might simplify document gathering) thus avoiding 'sticker shock'.
