Full disclosure - the blogger is, as far as I can figure out, the author of the accusation "Wearing your gun at people" and claims to OC mostly going to the range - but only when the range is way out in the boonies in a place where just about everybody OCs.

I am glad to see she came out and said OC was all right, especially since she earns her living writing for the CC establishment.

It's okay to open carry and not take thirty-eleven years of BJJ and weapons retention training

But I am disappointed that she did not make the same remark regarding CCers, especially as she references the guy in the Philly sandwich shop that had his (poorly) concealed handgun taken away.

I am probably going to end up stealing this line:

This is why, for instance, carrying a gun gets on the nerves of people who don't. It's not necessarily that they're even scared of guns, it's just that the person carrying a gun is a reminder that there are bad things that could happen for which they, the non gun carrier, are unprepared. Since they can't make the bad things go away, they want to make the gun-carrier go away so he stops reminding them of the bad things.

So all you nasty, inconsiderate, uncaring OCers out there - keep doing what you are doing. It seems to be having a positive impact.

stay safe.
