    SCOTUS Assault Weapon Ruling Near?

So SCOTUS is thinking over the Friedman v. City of Highland Park case. This has potentially ugly ramifications for the entire country if they come down on the side of HP. If they win, it's a good bet you will see a virtual blizzard of "assault weapon" and "high capacity magazine" bans in nearly every single state, just because of the loud, whiny, hand-wringing chicken littles of the country.
Guard with jealous attention the public liberty.
Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel.
Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force.
Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined.

Issue: (1) Whether the Constitution allows the government to prohibit law-abiding, responsible citizens from protecting themselves, their families, and their homes with a class of constitutionally protected ďarmsĒ that includes the most popular rifles in the nation; and (2) whether the Constitution allows the government to prohibit law-abiding, responsible citizens from protecting themselves, their families, and their homes with ammunition magazines that number in the tens of millions and make up nearly half of the nationís total stock of privately owned ammunition magazines for handguns and rifles.
