I read this on another site:

“There are lots of dead people," a witness said. "It’s pretty horrific to be honest. I was at the back of the bar. I couldn’t see anything. I heard gunshots. People dropped to the ground. We put a table over our heads to protect us."
Not that having a gun prevents anyone else from setting off a suicide bomb or opening fire with their own gun...

But I wonder how long before folks start to ask themselves how well being an unarmed, defenseless victim is working out for them. What good does the table over their heads do if a shooter or two decide not to do a drive-by but instead come inside to get really personal with shot placement?

And what is worse is that Europe's gun control came on the heals of France being invaded by Germany twice in half a century and England greatly fearing an invasion twice and rushing to secure any arms they could for their home defense force. When do people learn?
All experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. Thank heaven we do not permit a few to impose anarchy.

"With Anarchy as an aim and as a means, Communism becomes possible."
    --Marxist.org

"Communism and Anarchy [are], a necessary complement to one another. "

Another 100 people are believed to have been taken hostage inside the Le Bataclan nightclub, where disturbing accounts are surfacing through the Facebook account of Benjamin Cazenoves, reporting that attackers inside the club are killing hostages one by one.

And yet, people will STILL wonder why we carry and want to do so in public places like stadiums and theaters.

Praying for victims and family that they receive the overwhelming love of God as they undergo overwhelming grief and heartbreak.

Also pray that deliberate, swift justice finds every remaining person responsible - and that at the same time the good remain guarded from pursuing hateful vengeance rather than justice.

First you have to recognize the threat as a threat. How long were the bombers in the stadium before they ripped off their coats and shouted "Aloha Snackbar"? How long after that did they go all kabloomy? Can you draw in a crowd and place a CNS-destroying drop-to-the-ground-dead head shot? How fast can you do it?

Those that got to the restaurant and the theater were not instantly teleported there from terrorism headquarters. Why did someone not see them? (Oh, yeah. Because they kept their weapons hidden until the last moment.)

All I'm trying to do is inject just the smallest bit of reality into the response to the tragedy that took place.

Open borders + no profiling, no facial recognition scans (nothing proactive) and no tools for personal defense = recipe for disaster. You want for here or carry out?

Many of the attacks were via bombs ... nothing unusual, Palestinians have been using bombs for a while, ever since their RBKA have been infringed. In these types of instances a LAC is not much of a deterrent.

It will happen here. I did speak with my local general assemblymen and noted that even if the commies here got all guns banned then folks would just move onto bombs (explosive, chemical, biological). They don't care.

The gov't wants these things to happen IMO. They desire chaos.

First thing that the French gov't do? Limit the people's right to travel, imposing curfews.

I am no fan of the socialist leaning government in France, but their response is logical. It is a dragnet. Remember, after the Charlie Hebdo massacre the French caught and killed the collaborator two days later in a different part of France.

What those in power do not believe is that an armed society is a polite society.

I am not willing to give up my freedom for safety.

And we all have to understand that you have little control over those willing to die for "the cause." Situation awareness and diligence is required 24/7.

Paris Attacker Was Syrian “Refugee” Who Arrived in Greece Last Month

Reports are emerging that one of the terrorists involved in last night’s Paris massacre was a Syrian refugee who arrived in Greece last month. Greek journalist Yannis Koutsomitis tweets that the country’s Ministry of Public Order and Citizen Protection has confirmed that the terrorist found with a Syrian passport on his person was, “registered as refugee on Leros island in October.”

Germany's vice-chancellor has warned against a crackdown on migrants coming to Europe because of the deadly Paris terror attacks. Sigmar Gabriel says those seeking refuge in Europe shouldn't be made to suffer just because "they come from those regions where terror is being exported to us and to the world." Chancellor Angela Merkel's deputy's told reporters in Berlin on Saturday that "we stand to protect them too, and to ensure that they don't have to suffer because murderers in France are threatening people and Europe in the name of a religion."
