TERRY MCAULIFFE - A TERRORIST’S BEST FRIEND

At a time in history when terrorists are massacring innocent citizens in "gun-free zones,” how is Governor McAuliffe protecting Virginians?

Why, by disarming Virginia’s law-abiding citizens, of course!

Huh?

Instead of going after criminals and terrorists, McAuliffe is inexcusably going after Virginia’s 400,000 CHP holders, the most law-abiding citizens of ANY group.

McAuliffe is finalizing a prohibition on self-defense by CHP holders at all of Virginia's state agencies, such a DMV. And, just as inexcusably, open carry in state agencies was banned last month.

When McAuliffe should be pushing for citizens to be armed everywhere they go, he is instead creating terrorist-friendly gun-free zones of his own!

Ever the elitist, self-centered, hypocrite, McAuliffe is gladly willing to endanger the lives of Virginians in order to give himself a chance to become Hillary’s running mate! And he is doing that while surrounded by an armed security team that protects HIM at all times WITH GUNS.

Oh, and anybody that rents property from a state agency, must also make that property a “gun-free zone."

There have been ZERO shootings at Virginia’s state agencies and McAuliffe is targeting Virginia’s most law-abiding citizens (CHP holders) by putting the concealed-carry prohibition on "fast track" by making it an “emergency regulation” that will become effective instantly without getting any public comment!

Here’s the excuse for needing this EMERGENCY regulation: “The Governor has determined there is a need to take every precaution to protect
citizens and state employees from gun violence.”

If that was his true intent, McAuliffe wouldn’t be disarming citizens. Since when does disarming someone make them safer?

What a sad excuse for a governor. This is not stupidity on his part, it is malice.

ACTION ITEMS

While VCDL is continuing to look at a host of ways to respond to McAuliffe, we can start by melting down his phone lines and flooding his staff with web-mails. You should do BOTH a phone call AND a web-mail. Actually, we might want to repeat this action item every day or every time that this gun ban crosses your mind, to make sure McAuliffe gets the message.

1) Leave McAuliffe a polite, but firm, phone message urging him to rescind his gun-ban in state agencies. His phone number is: 804-786-2211

2) Send McAuliffe a web-mail by clicking here:

https://governor.virginia.gov/constituent-services/communicating-with-the-governors-office/

And using these settings:

Affiliation: Virginia Resident
Topic: General Inquiry
Response Required: Yes
Suggested Message Subject: Remove the state-agency gun-ban
Suggested Message body:

Public mass shootings happen in "gun-free zones" and so do terrorist attacks. There have been no shootings in state agencies and concealed handgun permit holders are the most law-abiding of any group of citizens, yet, inexplicably, you are seeking an emergency regulation to ban concealed carry in state agencies!

I urge you to rescind the firearms ban that you are instituting in state agency buildings immediately. That action not only exceeds your authority under Virginia law, it needlessly and recklessly endangers my life, the life of state agency employees, and the life of other citizens visiting those state agencies.

Don't play political games with innocent lives, Governor.

3) Send your most generous contribution to VCDL to help us fund an imminent public information campaign that will help legislators oppose McAuliffe’s plans to disarm Virginians!

Making a phone call or sending an email as the OP suggests does not cost money...........and is not self-congratulatory.

Better to be silent and thought a insert negative descriptor, than to speak/reply and confirm it. Step up or step aside.

The beautiful thing about VCDL's VA-ALERT messages ( http://www.vcdl.org/va-alert ) is that they are free for you or anyone else to sign up and receive. If you can't afford to join VCDL right now, sign up for the alerts so that you and your friends can be kept informed about firearms and self defense laws, particularly here in the Commonwealth of Virginia, but also on some national matters as well! Use that information to then take action!

In case you missed it, sign up here! http://www.vcdl.org/va-alert

"That action not only exceeds your authority under Virginia law.."

If this is the case, we don't have to abide by any such "law" and the one that outlaws open carry in state government agencies would also be illegal and unenforceable. Am I missing something here or do we now have a king instead of a public servant employee?

I am looking forward to seeing further information regarding that statement. It does seem completely reasonable based upon other things that I have read, but I'd still like to see the formal argument of it.

He probably is confused from his 4th grade history books, where he read Virginia had "Royal Governors." He never got to the part about the Revolution, and us winning, so he thought he was elected Royal Governor, and makes up the laws he wants?
