Just tell them that you are not obligated to follow laws that try to regulate any right.

We're sorry, it looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?

Republican legislator targets gun violence with bill

A day after President Barack Obama announced new restrictions on gun sales, a Republican state lawmaker filed a bill aimed at improving the background check system for gun buyers in New Mexico in an effort to prevent felons and mentally ill people from purchasing firearms.

Rep. Nate Gentry, R-Albuquerque, filed the bill Wednesday ahead of the 30-day legislative session that starts Jan. 19.

    abqjournal sinister intent? Who knows.
"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." - Thomas Jefferson.

It is AFAIK original to me. Compromise is failure on the installment plan, particularly when dealing with so intractable an opponent as ignorance. - Nightmare

Exclamation Nathaniel Quentin Gentry - (R) New Mexico

Contact the honorable N.Q. Gentry and ask him this one, very simple, question:

Mr. N.Q. Gentry, why do we need a new law that directs the state to follow the existing laws?
