Philly cop shooting a terrorist act, Obama Earnestly wonders, more gun control,

Whether the shooting of Officer Jesse Hartnett was an act of terrorism “is something we’re all wondering right now,” said White House press secretary Josh Earnest, adding that White House officials have been in contact with Philadelphia authorities.
    [ ... ]
“Those reports lead us to worry that this could be an act of terrorism,” Mr. Earnest said. “The FBI has been supporting that investigation.”

Authorities are also looking into reports that Archer could be mentally unstable. Either way, Mr. Earnest said, the case demonstrates the need for stricter gun laws such as expanded background checks to “keep guns out of the hands of people like him.”

the "terrorist" by line gets more juice for the white house, et al., than the 'mentally unstable' mantra.

of course, the folks doing the investigating are unbiased one way or the other...(darn lost the silly sarcasm icon!!)

Uhhhhh the gun was a stolen police handgun, so I gather they should take the guns away from the police. This one cannot be laid at the feet of LAC.

Oh, I'm sure they'll find something to say about it. Whats really pathetic is that more and more we're hearing about Feds and LEO's losing, misplacing or having their guns stolen. And yet we're supposed to trust them over ourselves? We're supposed to listen to them about how we secure OUR weapons? In the words of Col. Potter... MULE FRITTERS!
