CBS finally gets it. Americans hate the government more than ever.

Americans hate the U.S. government more than ever

A handful of industries are those "love to hate" types of businesses, such as cable-television companies and Internet service providers. The federal government has joined the ranks of the bottom-of-the-barrel industries, according to a new survey from the American Customer Satisfaction Index. Americans' satisfaction level in dealing with federal agencies --everything from Treasury to Homeland Security -- has fallen for a third consecutive year, reaching an eight-year low.

ACSI Decline Slows for Federal Government

Americans less satisfied with government services for third year, but the pace of decline is slowing.

    Not news.

Not to those in the real world. But never underestimate the ability of those living in a bubble to be completely out of touch.

On the flip side, most who claim to hate government sure are anxious for government to show up and clear the streets of snow when a blizzard hits, or to find and punish the serial killer making everyone nervous. Put another way, we all claim to hate government, but most folks are quick to re-elect their current congressman and legislator.

I do not "hate" government, I "hate" those in government who infringe upon my liberties.

    Well put.

"Among individual federal departments, the Department of the Interior (75) [...] lead in citizen satisfaction for 2015"

Forgive me but having met a portion of the populous I have to wonder how many of the 2000 random people surveyed could actually tell you WHAT the Dept of Interior actually does.
