Just stumbled upon this site today, and decided to join after reading for a while.
I live in Josephine county, and applied for a ccw permit back in early December. I have yet to receive it, so I began open carrying on the weekends a few weeks ago. Somewhat surprisingly, all of the comments that I have received from strangers have been very positive. I am 53 years old, and clean cut, so I suppose that helps alleviate some of the fears that some people might have of someone younger, and "shaggier" looking. I will continue to open carry part of the time even after I get my ccw, depending on the weather, and other circumstances. Glad that I found this site, as it is very informative.
