It is time to institute universal military conscription ...

It is time to institute universal military conscription as a prerequisite to enfranchisement. Otherwise they're too stupid to speak, let alone vote.

Willful ignorance is nearly as difficult to fix as stupid.
Bob Owens @ Bearing Arms (paraphrased): "These people aren't against violence; they're very much in favor of violence. They're against armed resistance."

Actually it would be more difficult if not impossible. Fixing stupid simply requires information and education. Informing and educating or teaching one who doesn't want is nigh on to impossible.

Nyaah, ignorance can be fixed, that's the job of educators and teachers. Stupid goes clean to the bone.

Willful ignorance is the why of compulsory primary education.

I think it's much more difficult. Educators can always identify and work with that "lowest common denominator." No matter how far down they might happen to be, one can always bring them up a notch or three.

The willfully ignorant, however, are like mental moles. The moment they detect anyone or anything bringing them up to the light of day, they start digging, and hard.
