Once this is in place, the next step is to put all conservatives on the list as well as per Jeh Johnson's comment that "Right Wingers pose the same threat as Islamic Extremists" http://dailycaller.com/2016/06/14/dh...ic-extremists/

Mateen was on a list and was dropped. Now the grabbers want to prohibit guns for anyone ever on a list.

Infringement of any right is a slippery slope, we are now looking back up at Liberty whence we came.

There has to be immediate due process and no secrete courts. The list has to be public.

Disappointing that Trump is caving to the politically correct. Suspects should never have their rights violated, watched maybe, but without an actual crime it is tyranny. Hopefully he comes to his senses.

well- seems as though he tried to buy body armor from a different store, and he was refused sale, and escorted out.

If by "due process" you mean trial and conviction of a felony, then I agree.

The problem with denying gun purchases to people placed on a "watch" list is that anybody can be placed on the list for the whatever the government decides and thereby denied cherished rights paid for in blood, smoke, and treasure across more that half a thousand years. No conviction. Not even a trial. Just the government's say-so that someone is somehow "suspicious".

So, what I really mean is: no, No, NO NO!!!!

Four thousand years of history in the West proves conclusively that government not only cannot be trusted with rights, government is guaranteed to try to reduce rights and strengthen its own power.

I'll make you an offer: I will argue and fight for all of your rights, if you will do the same for me. That is the only way freedom can work. We have to respect all rights, all the time--and strive to win the rights of the other guy as much as for ourselves.

If I am equal to another, how can I legitimately govern him without his express individual consent?

There is no human being on earth I hate so much I would actually vote to inflict government upon him.

Really? From your link, maybe updated;"STUART (CBS12) Omar Mateen, the St. Lucie County man who committed the Orlando massacre, tried to buy military-grade body armor from a local store in recent weeks, according to CNN. The news service also reported the shop refused to sell to Mateen. A Stuart gun shop owner said Monday, as far as he knows, Mateen did not try to buy body armor at his establishment.

On what legal grounds in Florida might Mateen been refused the sale? Generally armor is prohibited criminals and those engaged in criminal acts.

Look, this is a Trump political move to show his negotiating ability. However it turns out Trump will twist it to his advantage.

Citizens for TRUMP is soliciting pledges.

Citizens for TRUMP is not the campaign site DonaldJTrump.com
After 100 years of professional politician痴 leading our nation and after 7 years of near total amateur leadership, America finds herself in a very precarious position today.

Most if not all of our nations economist are predicting nothing short of catastrophic economic collapse in the next couple of years if we don稚 radically change direction almost immediately. It is fact that when Barack Obama leaves the White House, we will be in excess of $20 Trillion in debt. According to most economist; once we hit $24 Trillion (which will happen at current projections in the 2nd year of the next presidency), America will be facing total economic collapse.

Over the past 10 years; America has lost some 179,000 corporations which have relocated overseas and Mexico. This has cost our nation millions of jobs. Even traditional American corporations such as Ford Motor Company have relocated many facilities south of the Border.

America, it is time we elect a businessman to not just begin the restoration process of our nation, but in the case of our debt, literally save our nation. It has become very apparent that career politicians are incapable of the hard decisions needed to save our country before it literally implodes and we end up like Greece.

Donald J. Trump knows business, he knows negotiations skills (that are virtually unparalleled by most people), he knows most of the global leadership on a personal level. He is highly educated, highly successful and will owe no lobbyist, no Political Action Committees and can lead our nation from a position of strength.

If you believe as we do, that at this moment in time in our history, we desperately need true business savvy and someone that knows how to create jobs, create wealth, rebuild our military and American pride then please sign the pledge below.

This pledge is that, you will support Donald J. Trump, his campaign to 溺ake America Great Again and you will help with this grassroots effort to get this great American elected as President of the United States.

a vote for trump because a vote for johnson is a vote for hillary is actually a vote against the liberty this country was founded on.

everyone always says, "a vote for XX is a vote for YY". well, maybe if everyone voted for XX he would get elected.

    but he wasn't a criminal.

and a business has the right to refuse service to anyone, right?

maybe the shop owner was racist.

Maybe he realized he wouldn't need a bullet-proof vest if nobody inside would be able to fire bullets back.

People yell at Trump that he doesn't know what to do, but will do whatever he wants no matter what anyone says, and how horrible that is, he should consult experts...

Then he says he wants to consult experts, and everyone gives him grief that he wants to consult them and he should just know the answers...

ANY Chief Executive isn't supposed to know it all. He's supposed to assemble the right people and make decisions AFTER expert consultations.

Never trust one that claims to already know what to do for every situation.

Donald knows. I know that he knows. You know that he knows.

If enough people can be convinced that he knows, we shall win. If not, we are all up that proverbial creek w/o a paddle.

The NRA board of directors are committing organizational suicide by promoting the folly of "no fly - no buy". The reason why is that that leftists consider the NRA members to be "terrorists". Do you think this is a joke? Just read what leftists have to say about NRA members.

You do participate here on OCDO. Surely you do not think that is ignored by the same people.

Donald losing a vote is the same as Shillary gaining a vote. Enough people reacting like that and the witch will have her hand on the oven door. Can you guess whose head(s) will be in the oven?
