There Are Now More Bureaucrats With Guns Than U.S. Marines. Washington Free Beacon

Report: Non-military federal agencies spend $1.48 billion on guns and ammo since 2006

The “Militarization of America” report found civilian agencies spent $1.48 billion on guns, ammunition, and military-style equipment between 2006 and 2014. Examples include IRS agents with AR-15s, and EPA bureaucrats wearing camouflage.

“Regulatory enforcement within administrative agencies now carries the might of military-style equipment and weapons,” Open the Books said. “For example, the Food and Drug Administration includes 183 armed ‘special agents,’ a 50 percent increase over the ten years from 1998-2008. At Health and Human Services (HHS), ‘Special Office of Inspector General Agents’ are now trained with sophisticated weaponry by the same contractors who train our military special forces troops.”

That's what happens when you give too much money to those who are supposed to serve you. They wind up thinking the roles are reversed.
The First protects the Second, and the Second protects the First. Together, they protect the rest of our Bill of Rights and our United States Constitution, and help We the People protect ourselves in the spirit of our Declaration of Independence.

Actually, in light of the last few weeks, the OP is one of the most compelling arguments for the absolute need for 2A protections and fighting tirelessly against any weapons bans or due process infringements.

Easiest way for Obama to get that domestic military force he's wanted is to just authorize loyal SEIU member fed employees to carry guns. No extra employees to explain while significantly increasing the number of armed bureaucrats. The vast majority are already loyal left wing (D)s. I am far more afraid of federal alphabet agencies and their armed agents than the US military or state and local LEO. It is the fed alphabet employees who will prove the historical adages by raising arms against we, the people.

When SHTF ... all gov't workers will be treated like Mao treated gov't workers during his revolution. All will be seen as traitors. And how many gov't workers speak up in public meetings denouncing gov't activities in this country? Not many = they approve of the actions.

Hopefully they do not denounce because as we all know, if they did denounce they would be unemployed. Hopefully, should the day ever come there will be enough on the good side also on the inside who can scrog up the system there.

Long retired fed here; you know not of what you prate. The Hatch Act restrains political activity but not free speech.

You are correct. I do not now nor in the past have worked for the fed govt. Lived in DC area 30+ years and knew many many who did. Many who inspired exactly what I mentioned above.
