Examp;e : Posner .... clearly not defending the constitution.

What happens to him? [he took an oath, or what people call an "oath"] ... nothing.

Now if a lowly private soldier would announce that the constitution was garbage he'd be sent to Leavenworth for a time period....freedom stripped, hard labor punishment. This guy took an actual oath.

Big mouth judges? They don't take an oath.

Cops? They take no oath.

Elected officials? No oath there either.

President? Please...

SO there are fake oaths and true ones. Don't confuse the two and don't confuse the people who purport to take an oath.....

Just ask: will he go to prison for violating his oath? If not, its a fake oath.

The punishment does not define the validity of the oath......to witness one's determination to speak the truth, to keep a promise.

It is the same here on OCDO where the agreement/requirement is no less whether infraction points or rebuke are received.

Exactly .... oaths are not oaths as most people think that they are but are simple promises that can be tossed aside at any time.
