Not this guy's best day (and again!) arrested for zero lawful reason

    http://www.desertsun.com/story/news/...rest/87666796/

In Ramirez's case, the arraignment never came, however. Instead, he was told charges wouldn’t be filed against him and he would be released the following day. He was escorted through the jail gates at about 5 a.m., but was then immediately re-arrested by a Palm Springs police officer who was waiting outside the facility. The officer then took Ramirez back into the jail where he was re-booked and taken back to a jail cell.

According to the Public defender this was not the first time this happened.. The problem is that after the first offense the PD should have been held accountable.. The alleged rapist in this case may in fact become a very wealthy alleged rapist and will no longer need the services of a public defender( no disrespect to public defenders).. Now what offenses did the PD commit? From a criminal standpoint they kidnapped Mr.Ramirez. They also violated his right to due process in violation of the 5th and 14th amendments. Since it appears from the article that Mr. Ramirez is no stranger to the justice system, I can only guess that he was clever enough to request counsel, and that his request was denied, hence another violation...

This is simply another black eye for law enforcement, in their haste to get a bad guy off the streets, they themselves became the bad guy..

    Legitimate pursuit of justice?
"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." - Thomas Jefferson.

"Better that ten guilty persons escape, than that one innocent suffer" - English jurist William Blackstone.
It is AFAIK original to me. Compromise is failure on the installment plan, particularly when dealing with so intractable an opponent as ignorance. - Nightmare
