Both occupants ran from the car. During the pursuit, Mr. Barrett said, an officer ordered the man to drop his gun and fired when he did not, striking the man in the chest and an arm. He said the gun held 23 rounds. unquote.

my quick search doesn't show any original equipment handguns which have that large capacity mag.

largest one i am aware of is the FNH 5.7's capacity at 20+1.

which firearm have i forgotten about?

i acknowledge aftermarket high capacity mags...

Did it specify handgun? Did it preclude the possibility of an AR, 10/22, or other "pistol?"

found the first one i read...

quote: The officer “ordered that individual to drop his gun,” Mayor Tom Barrett said in a televised news conference. “He did not drop his gun. He held the gun — or I should say I don't know that for a fact, but he had the gun with him — ...unquote.
http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-milwaukee-unrest-20160814-snap-story.html

quote: The violence overnight Saturday erupted after an officer killed a man who the police said was armed with a semiautomatic handgun and who fled after a traffic stop. unquote. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/14/us/violent-crowd-confronts-police-in-milwaukee-after-fatal-shooting.html?_r=0

now supposedly the second story continues and says the BG stole the gun in March? quick work on solving that crime that this bloke stole it and didn't purchase it off the street...

Aftermarket Magazine

I came across a picture, believed to be him, somebody found on his Facebook page after his name was announced, and it looks like it confirms the aftermarket magazine theory.

Toy. Too large caliber. Component centered at apparent breach is wrong color and just wrong.

tho the red hollow point is quite distinctive

I believe he is displaying the old "fisherman's enhancement" of holding your 12" bass out at arms length to make it appear to be much larger, along the lines of a 24" fish. Thus, a 9mm bore now becomes a .76 caliber opening. Also, trigger discipline is somewhat lacking. I missed the size of the bore at first glance, but did wonder if that was a selfie, or someone else holding the camera while he was pointing a firearm at them with his finger on the trigger. I suspect a selfie, but the other option would not shock me either.

Do we know exactly where in Milwaukee this is all going down? I get all over the city, tho I am in Minneapolis this morning. I haul a lot of beer out of Miller and have been going up thru the N/W part of the city on 41/175/181/145 to get out to I-41 and miss all the madness on I-94 and around the Zoo Interchange. Right where the woman was shot by her child in 175 while driving, a couple months ago or so.

Have not heard the idea yet that it was a toy gun. ( I think you might be right if that is the correct picture) Once/if that comes to light, it should be good for a couple more weeks of rioting. An innocent wee lad playing with a toy gun, viciously gunned down by the Police, with no opportunity given to explain himself.

My "plan", should it come to that, is to drop my load of beer in the middle of the street. Prefer NOT TO BE Reginald Denny II. We are not allowed to carry in the truck with this company, but.......

I suspect one guy, in an aluminum and fiberglass skinned tractor would not fair all that well in a firefight with multiple adversaries, so probably best not to get in one. I may rethink my shortcut thru the hood for the near future. It's about 10 minutes longer than good running on the Interstates, but there is no good running on the I right now due to construction.

Heard on one talk show this morning that Milwaukee has not had a Republican Mayor since 1908. 38 of those years they had a Socialist mayor. Seems fairly clear the obvious solution to all problems is to do more of what they've been doing the last 100 years.

As Hillary says, "anyway, what does it matter, now". Eventually, all the facts will be available. By that time, we will have all moved on to the next crisis, that will also initially have sketchy information to guess at. We all have to remember, nobody cares about these details except a few on this board. Facts, in general, are not often sought after, highly valued or regarded in today's world.

alas, gutshot, the facts will never be fully released, even in those following the ensuing civil rights litigation...information will be sealed ~ forever!!

JQPublic puts their hands to their mouths saying...oh that is horrible, then, as you point out, they move on to the next shock and awe news report. it has been this way for a long long time...sigh.

Glock 9mm with a baseplate extension (avail in +2, +4, +5 at least)
Or a 33rnd happy stick, not fully loaded.

Glock in .40 with a factory 22rnd happy stick and 1 in the pipe.

I'm sure there is a myriad of other options for almost any double-stack autoloader.

I have an older model (edc) S&W 5906 which carries a standard 15 round magazine. But I also have a 25 round magazine that fits and works well in it.
