From a Va-Alert:

We need those of you **who have not yet** commented against the Governor's state-agency gun-ban, to do so on the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall webpage!

The antis are continuing to submit comments supporting the ban, narrowing our lead (around 2,500 gun owners have comments opposing, but there are 28,000 of you on this email list alone - so we need to rest to step up to the plate).

EVEN IF THE GOVERNOR GOES AHEAD WITH HIS PERMANENT BAN, VCDL PLANS ON USING THE DISPARITY IN COMMENTS TO HELP PUSH THROUGH A STATE AGENCY PREEMPTION BILL IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY. That would solve this issue and others in one-fell-swoop.

Let's make sure that disparity in comments continues to be huge - please add your comment if you haven't done so yet. Pass this email on to gun-oriented chat groups and to anyone else who should be with us on this issue.

IT'S FAST AND EASY - ADD YOUR COMMENT TO THE LIST!

Suggested comment title: "I OPPOSE this regulation!"

Suggested comment: "I OPPOSE banning lawfully carried firearms in state agency buildings."

Worked just fine for me.....

My Comment----
I strongly oppose this regulation. "...The RIGHT of the PEOPLE to KEEP and BEAR ARMS shall NOT be INFRINGED!" (emphasis added) 2nd amendment of the US Constitution. This proposed regulation does CERTAINLY INFRINGE on my Constitutionally Protected Right to keep and bear arms!

I guess I don't get it. You supply a link, but where do I post a comment? Do I have to sign up and supply my personal info?

I got lucky catching the thread. Maybe move (or second, with a link to here) in the Hot Topics forum?

Nice to see so many comments. I had to scroll a while before I saw a nondescript subject line from someone claiming to be "responsible." Sure enough, that was an anti- with no real information, just an emotional appeal from a "mother of a murdered daughter." I wonder if her daughter was armed, or if her mother had taught her that was a bad thing?

Good suggestion - cross posted it, linked to this thread.

I'm totally irresponsible. Does this mean I cannot have guns? LOL

Done.

From the first post it appears there is some method to count the comments for support or opposition. I see nothing on the comment page for determining that. Care to share where or how to get that info?

Thank you for volunteering to make a manual count. :)
