Ky. State Senator Reggie Thomas has announced that he will run for US Congress and hopes to be the Democrat candidate to run against Andy Barr in the 6th District Congressional District race in 2018. Senator Thomas is well known to gun owners because he has proposed the same anti gun bill for the last three years in the General Assembly. His bill would give Louisvlle and Lexington an exemption from our preempton law. Senator Thomas has always been a firm "NO" vote on any pro-gun bill in the Senate.
