There is no such thing in law or the Constitution or the Bill of Rights.

The First Amendment provides, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;”
Well then, since the First and Second Amendment are there to protect our inalienable rights, or more correctly our GOD given rights from interference by state and federal governments then it would seem reasonable the keeping and bearing of arms while attending church is clearly protected.

Also clearly protected would the right of any given church to limit who or what might enter their holy ground or sanctuaries. Current law in Virginia regarding guns in churches seems to me to be an over-reach and a violation of rights. The bill that is the subject of the OP appears to be an imperfect, but small step in the right direction.

There is no "law" regarding guns in churches in Virginia. There is an Attorney General's opinion - different.

"We need to ACT NOW on churches in the Virginia House of Delegates!"

"We have reason to believe that Attorney General Mark Herring is planning to reverse Ken Cuccinelli's prior opinion stating that self-defense is a "good and sufficient reason," for carrying in a church during a service. The new ruling will probably be released as soon as the current General Assembly session is over. We need to get 18.2-382 repealed!"
