Yet another blitheringly idiotic article from mudstream media...
NEWSFLASH: The AR-15 is NOT AN ASSAULT RIFLE. First, it's small-caliber (.223in/5.56mm), not medium (.308in/7.62mm). Second, it's single-fire ONLY, not select fire, which includes burst mode and full auto.
NEWSFLASH: The blithering idiots of mudstream media are trying to incite fear by calling it a "high-velocity bullet" and using terms like "tumbling" as if no other round on the planet ever tumbles.
NEWSFLASH: MOST rounds fired from a rifled long gun tumble upon impact. Being "high-velocity" has nothing to do with it. It's the fact that it's long and slender. It's spin-stabilized by the rifling to travel through the air, but tends to tumble when they impact anything more dense, including water. For that matter, handgun bullets are also rifled, but they're comparatively short.
NEWSFLASH: We do NOT need a "national trauma system." That's an incredibly expensive DEMONCRAP approach. We simply need kids to be taught Red Cross First Aid in schools as a MANDATORY class, the basics of which are taught in elementary school, more advanced topics in middle school, and the full course in high school. That and competent doctors and nurses. Heck, other countries do it, so why can't we? The military teaches Self-Aid/Buddy Care as a ONE DAY CLASS. Are you telling me one day is too difficult for our nation's youth to handle?

If by "handgun" you mean a 9mm or smaller ball ammunition, then ok. But if by "handgun" you including .38 or larger hollow point and magnum rounds, then you're an ignorant doctor. Do not forget their purpose is to STOP bad guys, not tickle them.

The shooting in Parkland, Florida, for example, produced 17 deaths and 17 injuries. That's about the worst ratio you'll find.
