I've purchased a couple of "pancake" holsters for my S&W 3913TSW. I really like these. If you have to remove it, then put it back on, it really is an easy operation. I have a Bianchi 7500 AccuMold Paddle and a Fobus SG21 Paddle. Easy on and off. I highly recommend either one of these. The Fobus is a little closer to the body and conceals nicely with a long shirt. It does require a sharp draw to remove the pistol from the holster. I have a High Noon "tuckable" on the way. Darn I must have 3 hoslters for each of my pistols. Kinda starting to look like Imelda Marcos' shoe closet:shock:in my gun cabinet.

I have always found pancake holsters to be the best style for my body type (I am slightly heavier than I should be ). They hold the gun snugly against the body and when you do want to conceal, they reduce printing.

My gun safe too is full of "experimental" holsters. I just tax deducted them as "props" for my gun classes

I am 6ft. and weigh 260 and I use CrossBreedIWB holsters for my Kimber and Taurus pistols. They work great and are comfortable as well.

Same here, 6'2, 250. I tried them all, and probably have enough to start a "Holster museum" but prefer, and have for the three guns of choice I tote, a S. O. B. inside the pant holster. Less print than anything I have tried yet.

Living in TN I carry open, I carry IWB, so SOB is not an option for me even with retention I do not have eyes in my back and do not want someone coming up behind me, I want my gun where I can give it some physical protection when necessary.

I have a comp-tac IWB (which I love) for my K-40 when I CC. It's great because you can tuck a shirt around it and it's barely noticeable or obviously where the shirt untucked and it has a very small imprint. The other great thing about it is that I can where it on my side or S.O.B. For my G17 CC purposes, I have a Galco summer weight IWB SOB, but I'm always extremely aware of it when I wear it. Feels like it's going to flip over my belt, even though I don't think it would. I've decided that it's not worth trying to conceal a G17...especially when I have the firepower of the K40 in a much more concealable package.

I need to find a decent OC holster for both. I have a fobus paddle for the G17, but it feels like it sticks way too far. Any suggestions?

BTW, I'm 6'4" 280 if that matters for holster considerations.

We are about the same size and I use a Desantis Thumbbreak Scabbard. I bought it for my G17 but it also works for my G23 just fine http://www.desantisholster.com/001.html. I got mine at Virginia Arms in Manassas.

I have 2 CrossBreed, adjustable SuperTuck's on order. One for my XD 45 4" and one for my G27. I've heard nothing but great things about them.
