Very important concern for gun owners if this goes through. Evidently, the state-run gun ranges have had their funding pulled by the state senate and will close July first if not funded.

Newinfofrom the Alaska Outdoor Forum suggeststhat the ranges have indeed been funded for this year, so we can breathe a sigh of relief for the time being..

Went to the range at Birchwood today for the first time. Waaayyy better than Rabbit Creek... Much bigger, not that many people, nice people around, and a beautiful day at that! Can fire full auto or whatever else you want.. Pretty easy going.

I'd recommend it to those that have not yet been there.

i spent all day at mat-valley range saturday, doing the defensive handgun course, and then i played RO for the public open time.
