Firearms Preemption (HELP!)

I am from Missouri and we have shall issue CCW and firearms preemption with the exception of open carry. I believe this section of the statute is unconstitutional. I am currently working with my state rep and state senator to recitify this problem.

Since Virgina has what I consider to be an ideal firearms preemption statute, I was wondering if there was anyone on this site who helped with the passage of your statute? If so, I would love to talk to you to get some insight on how it was accomplished.
