Thread: Anyone know who The Northern Virginia Regional Commission is?

    Part of the legislative platform is to remove preemption and allow jurisdictions to limit carry.

    Since the commisioners are elect officals, and it is probably funded with tax dollars, is this a public or private commision?

    Meaning, can they keep us from attending the meeting while OC'ing?


    If it is private, I do not like the idea of getting money from the county I live in, or having my elected officials as commisioners.

    This:

    "As has been the case since the Commission's formation over 35 years ago, the Commonwealth of Virginia recognizes NVRC as a political subdivision--a government agency and the Commission's basic roles and functions have focused on providing information, professional and technical services, and a mechanism for regional coordination. "

    Makes me think it is consider a government agency.
