Gallup Poll on Guns

Great article and video. It can really give you some perspective. I want to know what is up with the 17% that said they own guns and believed those guns made their home less safe!

In my opinion I think events like 9/11 and Katrina have made people more gun friendly and self defense conscious. And when previously neutral, common sensepeople start thinking about such things, you end up with trends like those in the gallup poll.

Tex1n is right on the money. Perceptions and the reality about crime
rates going up (see the Gallup poll for the 19th) combined with fears of future anarchy as a result of disasters natural and man made are promoting pro gun attitudes.
