Hat tip to Hillbilly from THR. Edit to add link and highlight in red Webb, Allen connection. Its not an endorsement of Webb per se, more of an anti NRA smear.

This has been a busy political season for gun violence prevention advocates. By the spring, a number of incumbents and promising challengers had made it clear that they intended to highlight their support for sensible gun laws, moving the issue to Tier One in their races. The issue had a positive impact:
 • Ed Perlmutter in Colorado’s Seventh Congressional District believes he won his primary in part because he advocated more common sense in gun laws.
 • Massachusetts Gubernatorial candidate Deval Patrick also ended up winning his three- candidate primary while aggressively discussing tougher gun laws.
 • In Illinois, Governor Rod Blagojevich made a state assault weapons ban his top goal for a second term, and Cook County, Illinois voters will cast votes on a referendum to instruct the State Legislature to pass an assault weapons ban. The referendum is expected to win handily.
 • In New York, Andrew Cuomo has made gun violence prevention a central part of his campaign for Attorney General.
 • In Maryland, Martin O’Malley has announced he supports a state assault weapons ban, while incumbent Bob Ehrlich continues to oppose a ban.
 • The new President of the Brady Campaign, Paul Helmke, has appeared personally at endorsement news conferences for Duckworth in Chicago, Patrick in Boston, and Cuomo in New York. Other Brady staff appeared at news conferences for Joe Sestak in Pennsylvania’s Seventh Congressional District and for Governor Blagojevich in Illinois.
The Brady Campaign has already sent approximately 200,000 emails endorsing slates of candidates or specific candidates. In all, the organization will have sent nearly 400,000 emails in the three weeks leading up to the election# # # As the nation's largest, non-partisan, grassroots organization leading the fight to prevent gun violence, the Brady Campaign, working with its dedicated network of Million Mom March Chapters, is devoted to creating an America free from gun violence, where all Americans are safe at home, at school, at work, and in our communities. So, is the Brady Bunch proposing government security agents EVERYWHERE so we will be safe? I don't have room in my home for anyone other than my family. If they could get the government security agent to make my home safer by changing the battery in that smoke detector which is way up on the ceiling, and help my elderly mother-in-law down the stairs and a female one to help her in and out of the bathtub, maybe it would be worth it though.

Just thought it was interesting to compare NRA and GOA grades in these senate races. The Bradys seemed to imply the non NRA backed candidates were all good for their cause but NRA and GOA ratings disagree with that.
NRA GOA
PA - Bob Casey vs. Rick Santorum: A/A+ NR/B-
MO - Claire McCaskill vs. Jim Talent: F/A NR/A
MT - Jon Tester vs. Conrad Burns: A/A+ B/A
MN - Amy Klobuchar vs Mark Kennedy: F/A NR/A
VA - Jim Webb vs. George Allen: A/A+ NR/A
FL - Bill Nelson vs. Katherine Harris: F/A F/A

Here are some other Senate races, NRA endorsements are in red, Brady in Blue.
AZ- Kyl(R) vs. Pederson(D): A/A C/NR
CA- Feinstein(D) vs. Mountjoy(R) F/A F-/A
CT- Lieberman(I),Lamont(D),Schlesinger(R) F/?/A F/NR/C
DE- Carper(D) vs. Ting (R): F/A F/NR
MD- Cardin(D) vs. Steele(R): F/B F-/NR
MI- Stabenow(D) vs. Bouchard(R): F/A F/B
NV- Ensign(R) vs. Carter(D): A/A A/D
OH- Dewine(R) vs. Brown(D): F/D+ F-/F
TN- Corker(R) vs. Ford (D): A/B NR/F

I wonder why Harris in FL has only gotten $28,000? Especially since the opponent has an F?
Because she has NO chance of winning. She has been getting her ass kicked in the polls from the get go. Currently down 58% to 34%

15% is the closest she has been in any poll since she announced she was running.
