On a semi-related note, I went to TCC today (unarmed) to see if a certain class will transfer over to ODU. On my way out, I asked about TCC rules regarding firearms. I got a response something like

"What ever state law is, it's TCC law"

^ so I know there are no firearms allowed in high schools, middle, elementary, etc. But what about TCC?

You're good to go. Only K-12 public schools are prohibited. There are a number of community colleges in the state that permit carry. I would probably want to CC, OC might be a bit too much for the admin at this point.
