Today I went to the Valentine Museum in Richmond, including the adjoining classical style house. It is a privately endowed entity, not owned by the city, so they have the right to ban as private property.

Open carried my 1911 govt model .45 throughout the touramongst a fair number of tourists, and interacted with three museum employees. The only mention of my gun was when I went to pick up my validated parking ticket at the reception counter, the woman asked "are you carrying a pistol?' When I said yes, she smiled and handed me the ticket for my truck, saying "that's how the parking attendant described you."
