If you wanted to see what open carry would be like in alternate universes check out Roswell, Texas and The Probability Broach. Both depict very libertarian worlds where individual liberty and personal responsibility are paramount, including the RKBA.
I really enjoy Roswell because it takes place in a world where Texas remained an independent country and being armed is required by law, (one has to get a permit not to carry a weapon:D).
