The retailers association is doing their best to keep SB 78, the bill to prevent employers from firing employees over a legal firearm locked in their own cars parked in company parking lots, bottled up in house rules. This is a good bill that balances the property rights of business owners with the right to self-defense during the commute to and from work of the employees. SB 78 applies to ALL guns legally possessed in a car. A concealed permit is NOT needed.

Please call the House Switchboard at 801-538-1029 and leave a message for:

Speaker Curtis,
Rep. Dave Clark, and
Rep. Steve Urquart,

asking them to "Release SB 78 from rules for a floor vote."

You can leave the same message for all three on the same phone call.

AFTER you have done this, please also call the Senate Switchboard at 801-538-1035 and leave a message for:

Sen. Bramble,
Sen. Hickman, and
Sen. Valentine,

asking them to "Please prioritize SB 78 so it gets a floor vote in the house. Also, please release HB 355 from Senate rules for a floor vote."

You can leave the same message for all three on the same phone call.

We literally have only six hours left this session. Please take 5 minutes to make these two calls.

Thank you.

Charles
