They poll their members then put out a press release as if the numbers were from the general population. HAHA

:cuss:Very possible, but I don't know how to make the link non "clickable" in this forum. I'd suggest everyone copy and paste the URL instead of clicking onto it from the forum.

Oh, and a totally bogus "name" and email address was accepted. They may weed those out later, but for now it works. I'm not giving them my real name if I can help it. If you are really paranoid about this, vote from a computer at the library. <G>

I didn't even put in a name and email. I skipped it, and was going to go back and fill it out after I did the poll, but I hit the "Submit" button without thinking about it. It seemed to accept my votes anyway, and thanked me for participating in the process.

As you said, they may weed those out later, but for now, it looks like our voices were heard.

Dear Jack, [/align]
Thank youfor participating in our 2007 Legislative Priorities Survey, yourfeedback will help the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violenceget a strong start to the new year. We are so grateful for your support.

Capitalizing on the seismic shift on Capitol Hill, your Brady Campaign is going on the offensive to advance our legislative agenda to strengthen US gun laws. Americans are looking to us to turn our electoral victories into concrete action to get guns out of the hands of criminals.

We will succeed in this endeavor in the same way we succeeded in the 2006 elections — by bringing to the fore the voices of reliable, thoughtful Brady Campaign members like you.

Thanks to yourparticipation, we willshow that Americans like you demand that strengthening US guns laws beat the top of the congressional agenda.

Help us build on our voting majorities in both the House and Senate to pass a new ban on military-style assault weapons, closing the gun show loophole, and other life-saving gun laws by making a generous contribution today.

By working together, we can create a nation free from gun violence, where all Americans are safe at home, at school, at work, and in their communities.

I started to fill in the name and email, then decided I didn't want to get their spam, so I didn't. Worked fine!!
I got an error message until I filled out the name, etc. I didn't use my own information, of course, just something I made up. They probably can't check the validity of anyone's ID, but they may bump anything without one. Don't know.

The really fun thing would be to get a million or so folks to fill this thing in and totally overwhelm it with NOs!!

How many other forums can you post this too tonight? I'm going to find as many as I can... ML

I went ahead and used my real name and email. I like to get anti's alerts. It's good to be aware of your enemy. It also makes it really easy to know when your senators are getting bombarded by the anti-s so you can remind them that you're watching too.

Oh, and that is the biggest pile of unethical "push polling" i've ever seen. A poll that tells you WHY it is important then asks you if it is important? I'm actually going to grab some screen shots of that in case I ever decide to write up a "how not to conduct a survey" article.

Must be IP... They're not using cookies as I voted twice from the same PC (My Laptop) but from different networks.

"Since the expiration of the federal Assault Weapons Ban two years ago, there has been a significant rise in violent crime and homicides."

Riiiight.... And if you believe that one, I have a bridge for sale. I can't believe the bull they spew...

I just voted in the name of our most famous outlaw Ned Kelly, I'm sure he'd appreciate it and with the address < arsess@aust.com> Accepted with thanks.

Didn't think that they were the brightest bulb in the hall.

Just posted under the name of Steve Hart, one of Ned's buddies but they've got the filter going now.

Delete cookies and clear your cache. Then vote often. Also

Please find an online poll regarding the DC Gun Ban and today's important
court decision at the below link. This is a Washington, DC media outlet and
it would be great if the response was an overwhelming Yes!

Please vote and cross-post to your other message boards and networks.

More information on today's DC Court ruling will appear in tonight's
Grassroots Alert. Stay tuned.

Last years poll was funny because they posted results online. In a matter of a few days it was overwhelmingly progun.

Good work!
