ALL HOA'S SUCK!!

I can't stand those socialistbusybody idiots that dictate what you can or can't do all in the name of maintaining property value! HOA's are true American Socialism and to belong to one you must sign away your rights in order to maintain your property value. DEATH TO HOA'S!

I'm just WAITING for the HOA to get a call from somebody complaining that I walk the neighborhood OC'ing!! I really wish they would...

But I digress....

I knew it was just a matter of time until this happened. Damn, self-righteous busybody bastards!! HOA's do not actually own any REAL PROPERTY unless it's their administrative buildings. Your property is still YOURS, and their pissly little rules and regs are NOT THE LAW.

At least they said they're changing the rule, but they need to be taught that THEIR RULES do NOT have the force of LAW DAMMIT!!! The lame brained idiot that thought up that rule needs to be flogged.....

If my HOA wanted to take my guns they would have to talk to Mr. Klashnikov about it . Not a good idea as he is a talented at debating with intruders , especially when he is holding vol. # 75 of his favorite magazine .

How does the HOA trump the 2nd Amend? Can't see how it would in view of the recent DC ruling. How will they enforce it? Is there a Tennessee Citizen's Defense League?

I couldn't tell from the story whether it was rental, condo assoc., HOA, or co-op. I'd have to look it up, butI think rentals in VA are already forbidden by law to proscribe 2A activities that are within the law. HOA's and the rest may also already be proscribed.

1. Yes good question. HOA's usually have good intentions, (ie. prohibiting the guy next door from opening a junkyard and lowering your property value) but this is way too far. I am also curious as to how they can interfere with constitutional rights.

2. That court ruling is not binding outside the District of Columbia. It came from the Appeals Court for that Circuit. Other Circuits may choose to cite it as precedent, but they are not obligated to. Hence, why the current split among circuits exists. The 5th and DC Circuits taking the "individual right" view of the 2A, while the 9th Circuit takes the "collective right" view.

3. Yes. It is called the Tennessee Firearms Association.

Fortunately, I do not live in that neighborhood or city for that matter.
