I posted this in the Horse Center thread but thought the rest of you might enjoy it as well. For some reason i don't think open carry will be an issue here even though i have not had the opportunity to do so first hand.

If you are traveling on I-81 between lexington and staunton you have to stop in here. My family always did and my brother and i would spend just about the whole time staring at the different guns.

yes the thompson and the mauser are both class III as is the 22 cal thompson lookalike w/ the drum on top in the other case. And the food is pretty good too.

Berkeys Restaurant at Lee Hi Truckstop off I-81 isn't too bad either. They don't have an arsenal, but they have some neat stuff. The only bad aspect of the place is the smoking. I couldn't stand it there when we had our Hunter Ed. Awards Banquet. To me, anyway, I found it a tad creepy despite the fact that I packed, was there with a bunch of game wardens, and state police.

Would this fall under a "good & sufficient reason" to have a concealed weapon at the Truck Stop church service?

They must definately be OC friendly!

A lot of these are actually rare collector items that you may not see anywhere else. The place has been there for ever. We used to eat there a lot in the late 60's and 70's. It was a lot fresher back then, but it was the best place on the highway to stop. Bottomless coffee and truck stop food. I think I still have one of those burgers caught in my left carotid artery.
