apparently this bill made it past friday's legislative deadline. the similar bill in the assembly didn't however. hopefully this bill passes as it means a lot of good things for NV gun owners.

The bill is now is the Assembly's Judiciary Committee. A historically very anti-gun group. However, it passed the State Senate by a 20-1 vote, so hopefully that will show the Assembly that they can't ignore this bill.

i watched the live streaming video of the Judiciary Committee hearing today. this bill looks like it will pass the Assembly as-is. no one came forward objecting to the bill, and several groups/people came forward in support of it. including many of the committee members. let's hope it sees a floor vote soon. this legislative session ends June 4, so we shouldn't have too long to wait.

Chairman Anderson seems hell-bent on not allowing this bill out of committee. The deadline for committee passage is this coming Friday, so all he has to do is sit on this bill for 2 more days and it's dead.

FLOOD HIS OFFICE WITH EMAILS SUPPORTING THIS BILL!!

Important Public Forum on Nevada Right-to-Carry!

The Nevada Sheriffs’ and Chiefs’ Association (NSCA) will hold a publicforum on the subject of Nevada’s right-to-carry system on Wednesday, July 11th from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. in Carson City.

An overview of Senate Bill 237, the right-to-carry reciprocity measure signed by Governor Gibbons, will be highlighted in the session, as well as general comments and questions on Nevada’s concealed carry permit system. In attendance will be members of the CCW Subcommittee for the NSCA, and a representative of the Department of Public Safety’s Criminal History Repository. Public comment is welcome and encouraged, so please take the time to attend thisimportant forum.

Individuals who wish to attend in Southern Nevada will have their voices heard via tele-conference at the Grant Sawyer Building in Las Vegas.
