Well, they're too busy keeping their kids entertained and making them feel good about mediocrity to worry about things like discipline or appreciation of history or responsible citizenship...those things are soooooooo old fashioned and corny!!
Kids today don't need those things! They need MYSPACE and IM and cell phones for parents to leave them alone! Stop trying to run their lives!! WAAAAAAAA......
Let the ass whoopings begin!!!!
I wish it would start soon. But with the parents. I recently had toescort a "mother" and her pre-teen son out of the building I work security in because the "mother" took strong offense that I asked her to take her son to the restroom to turn his shirt inside out. The message on the shirt was "F:cuss: this S:cuss:. After 5 min. of being called every name in the book and then some,a local LEO showed up.He was of no use in the matter. Claimed the mother and kid hadtheir 1st Adm. rightsand refused to do anything.Let the ass whoopings begin!!!!
Was this private property? Thier first amendment rights do not cross the line of what you want on your private property. The LEO is right, he cannot do anything about the shirt, but you asked them to leave, and they did not - criminal trespass laws should apply in that situation.BobCav wrote:I wish it would start soon. I only wish people that are or will be parents would throw away the Spook book on child rearing, and pick up the Bible for their guidance, "Spare the rod Spoil the child".
In today’s way of life the children are raised by the Schools, Malls, Chat rooms, IM's, the internet, and worst of all their peers, woops forgot the other two TV, and the Movies, can’t leave them out.
One thing I can tell you is the fatty portion of the buttocks is for the flat of a parents hand to perform a swift and positive attitude adjustment, time out only work on about .001% of the children it is applied to.
If you doubt this statement go to any mall or public shopping area and just listen to the Children as they respond to the parents when told to behave and straighten up.
Lean on the Bible it will give you all the rearing guidence you will ever need.

At church yesterday there was a couple in front of me with two children. The eight-year old kept cutting up, goofing off, being a distraction. The father never looked at him, and the mother kept telling him the same thing over and over -- "I'm losing my patience." The child would look at her with this look of vile contempt, and I was reminded of Isaiah chapter 3, where God is showing the people the consequences of their having gone against him:
v. 5 "the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient..." v. 12 " As for my people, children are their oppressors..."
That's what happens when you ignore the God-given way of training up your children.
Training my children to keep and bear arms is an awesome responsibility. Iwon't give them arms unless I also inculcate them with my values and my vision for our future.
AMEN!
+1 - i guess i went thru a lot of change growing upI am a firm believer in 'spare the rod, spoil the child'. Growing up I hated when my parents would spank me (which was not uncommon). But now, being an adult, I realize that they never did it out of spite or contempt. It was because that was the only punishment that worked on me. My cousins, on the other hand, only got timeout. And IMO, it is reflected daily in the choices that they make and the way they go about things. When I see a child disrespecting their parents, I know what would have happened to me if I were to act the way they do. I still say 'Sir' and 'Ma'am' and try to be as respectful as possible to the people I interact with.
My dad always told me "There's nothing that a good a$$ whooping won't change."
There was a case in Washington state a few years ago where this 13-yr-old snot told his guidance counselor that he was tired of going to church. So the counselor referred it to social services, and they filed suit. The judge ruled that the parents couldn't force the kid to go to church more than once a week -- three times was too much.My step daughter attends Prince William County PS . Her teachers have told the students that it is illegal for your parents to spank you. They also told them that they would get into trouble if they did not report (rat out) if their parents spank them . This is far away from what VA law says but shows the arrogance of the NEA and their left wing attitude that they alone know whats best for children . It takes a Village Idiot to run the schools..............

Now this was before Troxel v. Granville, the parental rights case, but still, to think that you could have this happen in America..... So don't tell me I'm blowing things out of proportion when I say there's a real danger of losing our right to keep and bear arms.
I mean, we barely have the right at all, and it's specifically mentioned in the Bill of Rights!
You can make her leave if you don't like her fingernail polish. Making her leave for that shirt is a no-brainer. The cop can't arrest her for the shirt, but he can for trespass. If the cops don't know that, don't call the cops -- call your buddies and throw these people out.BobCav wrote:I wish it would start soon. But with the parents.
