OC'd at a restaurant for lunch today. I won't say where so certain LEOs' on this forum can't track me down.
The meal was uneventful. As I was leaving is when the fun happened.
I've eaten there a number of times. I am usually outgoing, friendly, and playful with restaurant staff wherever I eat; after the second or third visit, staff usually remember me. The manager in thisrestaurantis a younger woman, very friendlywith her customers. She had never, to my knowledge, noticed my OC'd sidearm.
Today she had her own lunch late, and ate at a table with an elderly couple who had already eaten and were just chatting with her. I passed their table on the way out. She asked, "Is that a gun?" (Stong interest,no fear). I replied, "Yes,"andpretended to briefly "model" my "fashion accessory."In pretended fear she leaned away, covered her head with her arms and said, "Oh, no!" In mock protest Isaid,"I don't say 'oh, no' when you serve meyour food!" She said, "Exactly!" By this point the elderly couple were rolling out of their chairs laughing. We parted company with big smiles on everybody's faces.
