New guy here. Stumbled in through Glock Talk's "Carry Issues" section. I'm somewhere between Sugar Land and Kendleton and the same "nuparadigm" that's on the Texas CHL Forum. Rseonating to open carry. Moved here from Arizona (where it's legal) in '91.

Let me add my WELCOME also, nuparadigm! You've stumbled into one of the best forums on the internet and the very best place to discussOpen Carry issues.

I lived in Arizona too and after experiencingOpen Carry I realized how far away we are in Texas from being allowed to exercise our 2nd Amendment rights. That's why the Texas Citizens Defense League was born. With the kind help and inspiration of the AZCDL and VCDL,the TCDL has taken off and is growing in leaps and bounds. We will be ready for the nextlegislative session and we will be pushing our bill to decriminalized Open Carry in Texas. Many of our members have experienced open carry in other states - but the majority of our members have never open carried. We have found that one of the biggest helpsis for memberswho have open carried to share their experiences with those who have not. I have featured some of these stories in the monthly TCDL Newsletter. It definitely helps alleviate their anxiety and answers many questions they have. I would be most appreciative if youwould share some of your open carry experiences with TCDL members. You can contact me at admin@txcdl.org or send me a private message here on OCDO.

BTW - the TCDL headquarters is located in Bryan/College Station - so we're practically neighbors.

Thank you very much - and, again - Welcome to OCDO!

Gary Williams, President TCDL
