In my manual for my Taurus PT 92 9mm,it says the maximum bullet weight should be 124 gr. Today I bought some Gold Speer 147 gr JHP; could the 147 gr damage my gun?

I'd say it would be fine.

I mean, 23 grains = 0.0525714286 ounces, per most converting calculators...

Granted, it's about an extra 20% to the bullet weight, but....

That being said, get your eyes and ears on when you do try.
