Tempe police have arrested a second suspect believed to be involved in a burglary attempt last month where one of the suspects was shot by the homeowner.

Steven Mosher, 26, was arrested on suspicion of second degree burglary. Police report that he forced his way into a residence in the 1500 block of south River Drive, near Price Road and Apache Boulevard on July 17. The homeowner saw two men in his living room - one with an unidentifiable object in his hand - and shot at them, police records show. He hit one of the suspects, David Reynolds.

Both men fled the scene, but Reynolds, 22, was later dropped off at Banner Desert Hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Reynolds was released from the hospital Monday and immediately arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary.

Mosher is also expected to be charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft.

Mike Horn, Tempe police spokesperson, said he doesn't expect the homeowner to be charged with anything. The case is still under investigation.
