I was OC in Lowes this morning. Had no issues, but the store had just opened, and was basically was empty so that probably helped. I got everything I needed and headed for the register. As I was pushing my cart towards the register, a couple of employees gave me a :what:but didn't say anything. I made it to the register without getting tackled by a SWAT team, and the lady was very polite and friendly. She scanned everything, and I paid with my credit card. I'm sure most of us have all used one of these electronic signature pads, and the cashier was giving me directions on what to do :)banghead:Not stupid, thanks though! :D) Anyway, after I signed, there are two "buttons" that appear on the screen; "clear" and "done". The cashier instructed me to "please press the GUN button, err, ahh, I mean DONE button" I managed tohold back my laughteruntil I got outside, and then I couldn't help myself anymore. I do believe I'll be laughing about that for awhile. She never stared, was friendly, polite, and even cheerful (which I can't even pull off at 7:00am) Her only slip was to ask me to select that gun button... Not to many times do OCers have an "incident" that leaves us laughing, but this sure started my day on a funny note!

Maybe the Gun button would have given you "Responsable Citizen Bonus Points". You could then redeem them on your next purchase of:
  • Outdoor Lighting
  • Security System
  • Deadbolts and Locks
  • Reloading Bench
I suggest you keep open carrying while shopping there and ask them for your "Good Guy" points every time you hand them your money.

:D
