Why I shouldn't stop at the gun store on the way home from work.

So, I've been looking for an addition to my Glock 22, preferably something not quite full size and maybe a 9mm. Happens I got home from work a a little early today and stopped past the local gun shop. I was lookng at some used Sigs which were a pretty decent deal, and was pretty sure I wasn't going to buy anything today. Then, just for kicks I took a look/feel at a Glock 19. Bad Move!! ... 20 minutes later, I'm filling out paperwork and handing over money. Can't wait to pick it up and put some rounds through it.

No. Good move! :D

That's a good gun. I have a G23 which is that same size and like it a lot. I used to follow the bash-Glock crowd until I got the 23 and saw that "plastic pistols" weren't all that bad. In fact, they're pretty dman good! The Glocks are so reliable that it's scary.

Enjoy your G19. Too bad you couldn't take it home with you right away. I guess that's the PRMD for ya...:(

Even more impressive was the amount of time I spent in there. At some point in the game I figured I was going to buy something. Below is a list of the many guns that might have became mine today.

Taurus PT-1911 - a VA OC'er had one and definitely a nice gun for the money
Glock 23 - good complement to my 22
Springfield XD - been liking these a lot lately; want to wait until i shoot my co-workers before getting one though
Sig 226(used) - smooth gun, even used
Glock21SF -- heard good things about it
Glock17 -- i do like the look/feel of the full size glocks

And I thought I was bad because I go to the store for food and come home with ammo...

Yeah, last time I did that it was a Browning Citori, 425 Grade I adj. comb, "sporting clays" gun, used at $1500.

If you don't shoot trap, don't start!
