I'm thinking of going on a weekend camping trip with a few friends before the fall semester gets going, and was looking at this campsite:

It's apparently run by the Army Corps of Engineers, so does this fall under federal property,
meaning that I can't carry there? Thanks for the help.

It looks like some campgrounds are run by the CoE, some by the states of VA and NC.

If you want to carry, go to one of the parks on the lake, run by VA, like this one.

If you want to go to Kerr, go to Occoneechee (sp?). I spent a weekend there a while back - nice place. But we didn't really "camp", we stayed in one of their air conditioned cabins. After spending 9 hours on the water for 2 straight days, we were in need of AC. The cabins are really nice too. Only issue is, it is a state park, so only CC there with permit.
