Powerful? Maybe, in the sense that "The Eternal Jew" was a powerful film.

Rank Nazi anti-Semitic propaganda. Powerful, in a manner.

I've been to Dearborn, I have relatives living there, and it's no more a hotbed of sedition than the average crowd at a Spike Lee film. Yes, there are a lot of Moslems, and for all this supposed cultural separatism/elitism they demostrate, they also run liquor stores and work in non-halaal fast food restaurants. It's not nearly as "us and them" as this writer makes it seem. Most of the "Arabs" there are, in fact, Lebanese (Phoenician) refugees from their civil war. They may sympathize with the plight of the Palestinians, but then so do I. Hardly makes them all members of Hezbollah.

BTW, I'm a Celt, and about as white as non-albino humans get (before I get accused of being one of "them").

p.s. no, I'm not "offended" by anything. I just wince when I see patently stereotypical or inflammatory imagery because of its propensity to excite others.

By posting that picture, I did not mean for it to seem as though I am saying all Muslims carry AK-47's and hide behind woman and children. The terrorists are predominately Muslim, but I am not naive enough to think that all Muslims are terrorists. That would be like labeling all LEO's as evil, all blacks as fried chicken lovers, and all whites asnerds that can't dance.

I understand. Still, images like that tend to excite people who don't engage in such critical thought. There is no race/nation/tribe/clan which has a monopoly on decency or truth, certainly. That image is no more representative an image of an American as one of Lt. Calley at My Lai would be.

BTW, I really can't dance...

This article seems to be very slanted and inaccurate. Just because someone is a Muslim doesn't make them a jihadist, just as being Christian doesn't make someone a crusader. We have freedom of religion in this country, and everyone is allowed to worship as they wish.

The Quran isn't the "Muslim book of jihad" any more than the Bible is the "Christian book of stoning sinners". I know a few Muslims and none of them have "sent me to hell" for being an athiest heathen. In addition, no public representative is required to say an oath on the bible. You can just as easily affirm your oath of office without any holy documents whatsoever (in keeping with separation of church and state).

This article is just sensationalist journalism, nothing more.

While i cant recall the exact passages and there markers, I really do think the Quran is the "Muslim book of jihad". There are many passages telling muslimites to kill the infidels and non bleivers. Telling them that thell take over all the lands of non muslims. I know there are muslims out there that say they dont agree with jihad and violence against non muslims, but I have a hard time believing what they are saying. Every time a muslim i know says that, i cant help but feel that there only saying it to ease our fears and throw up a good image of joe blow muslim. WHen the reality is, the quran is the basis of that religon and it preaches nothing but violence agaisnt non believers, Muslimism is a religon that was/is based around that book.

I dont want to come across as racicist/religionist but from what i have read of the quran i can not trust these people. How do i know that there not just saying they dont belive in jihad and death to all infidels when in the back of there mind there saying GO hezbola(spelling of stupid people i dont care about) die Zion die america Die Isreal.

Yea the first half the bible is the cristian guide to stoning everyone, but that is not widly considered the basis for our beliefs. THe new testament is the basis for christianity, and it does not preach, condone or want in any way shape or form any violence or jihad against any non believer. Jesus told us, only those who are sinless can cast the first stone... No one was able to throw a stone. and that is the basis for our religion..

Ive met some nice muslims, especialy at college, watched as they all needed police escort around the campus during 9/11, I would love to believe that there a some peace minded non jihadits in that religion here in the united states, but untill they stop using the quran for the basis of there misguided religion I cant trust them.

I guess i wont be satisfied till i see a group of the mystical non jihadist muslims openly and vehomently take a stand against the others. SO far these unicorns havnt done anything that has garnerd any attention or is only a token jesture.

I understand where you are coming from. I also want to see more Muslims stand up to the jihad Muslims and take back their religion. It seems that the peaceful Muslims are scared. But who knows; maybe they are scared for a good reason. After the jihadis are finished killing all of us "infidels", I'll bet they will start killing the good, peaceful, non-jihad Muslims because they don't practice Islam the way the jihadis want them to.

The only reaction against Jihadis from among the Moslem ranks seems to be from the likes of the Saudi royal family, who are solely interested in preserving their own power and privilege, and not with maintaining social order otherwise. The average Saudi citizen is far worse off than he was when the oil infrastructure was being built with the promise of prosperity for all.Total bullshit. As ever, a few got very rich, and the rest are pissed off and blaming their "leaders" for becoming "decadent westerners". Not a wholly inaccurate portrayal, but we end up getting lumped in with the rest and ultimately caught in the crossfire.

Just an observation.

While i cant recall the exact passages and there markers, I really do think the Quran is the "Muslim book of jihad". There are many passages telling muslimites to kill the infidels and non bleivers.
The bible has similar passages:

Deuteronomy 17:2-5
If there be found among you, within any of they gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD they God, in transgressing his covenant; And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true,
and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel; Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto they gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

2 Chronicles 15:12-13
They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

Both of these passages don't just suggest, but command that non-believers be put to death.

WHen the reality is, the quran is the basis of that religon and it preaches nothing but violence agaisnt non believers, Muslimism is a religon that was/is based around that book.
Christianity is based around the bible which is every bit as violent and intolerant. I can quote more verses than you can shake a stick at.

I dont want to come across as racicist/religionist but from what i have read of the quran i can not trust these people.
I don't want to come across and racist/religionist, but from what I have read of the Bible, I can not trust these people.

I don't want to come across as bigoted, but from what I have read of the NRA, I can not trust these people.

That flawed logic works for any group you choose to persecute.

Yea the first half the bible is the cristian guide to stoning everyone, but that is not widly considered the basis for our beliefs. I find it amusing how many people quote the scripture that will suit their needs, then conveniently throw away the rest. Let's just, for the sake of convenience, throw out the Old Testament (even though it's the basis of Christianity, and comprises the first half of the King James Bible). Please explain this quote from the new testament:

Romans 1 :29-32
Those filled with unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, hate for god, despite, proud, boasters, inventions of evil things, disobedience to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, unnatural affection, implacable or unmerciful nature: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death.

To say that the New Testament does not preach or condone violence is laughable. Have you actually read the New Testament? There's a reason they call people who talk about the bible "preachers".

Ive met some nice muslims, especialy at college, watched as they all needed police escort around the campus during 9/11, I would love to believe that there a some peace minded non jihadits in that religion here in the united states, but untill they stop using the quran for the basis of there misguided religion I cant trust them.
I've met some nice Christians. I would love to believe that there are some peace minded non-stone throwers in that religion here in the United States, but until they stop using the bible for the basis of their misguided religion, I can't trust them.

I guess i wont be satisfied till i see a group of the mystical non jihadist muslims openly and vehomently take a stand against the others. SO far these unicorns havnt done anything that has garnerd any attention or is only a token jesture.
I guess I won't be satisfied 'til I see a group of the mystical non-violent gun rights activists openly and vehemently take a stand against gun violence. So far these unicorns haven't done anything that has garnered any attention, or is only a token gesture.

Nobody has to prove that they are not guilty or that they pose you no threat. It is the job of the accuser to prove that a person is guilty or that they do pose a threat. I shouldn't have to stand up and denounce every evil that takes place for people to realize that I'm not an evil person.

Forget all the PCcrap about "all the good Muslims"...they're nowhere to be found OR heard...deport them all now (like Israel should have done decades ago) before things get even more clear for you.
I think that this comment is, quite possibly, the most bigoted, disgusting thing I've ever read on this forum. How someone can come here and claim to stand for the Second Amendment, then totally dismiss the First is simply repugnant.

There are plenty of good Muslims in this world. As I said, I know a few personally. There is also no shortage of bad Christians. How many millions have died in the name of Christianity? Who is it we see demonstrating against "sinners" at the funerals of our dead soldiers? What evils have leaders done "in the name of God"?

There are always extremists in every religion. Unfortunately, that's what happens when people guide their life with a book instead of a brain. To judge an entire group based upon the actions of a few individuals is nothing more than discrimination.

seconded!

the real threat my friends, is not overbearing christian or muslim influence in politics... its that the opportunity EXISTS within politics to do so. The governemnt needs less power, including the power to affect and protect religious goons, not more. (deportation of undesireables, elimination of freedom of religion...)

to bad the fact of the matter is, Christians are not currently waging a jihad agaisnt everyone that isnt christian, and the muslims are. Guess what, The old testament is only the history, not the basis for chistanity, only jesus's teachings are the basis, and he tuaght, tolerance, love, and peace. Ill go to my death defending him and that which he preached.

I realy want to trust them, i do, problem is, all i have to do is google any one from the mid east and listen to there rantings, hell just watch the news and listen to them from iraq, and thats enough to make me fear full of them.

Like i said before, how do i know that, when i shake the hand of a muslim, while he is saying hello, and good day, that in the back of his mind he is thinking die die die, allah akbar and what is the quickest way to behead him.

Maybe its time for another christian crusade...
