You will know, and your conscience will gnaw at you for being a criminal until your dying day.
    :celebrate
You never know who may be observing you and might discern that you are armed. Look at what happened to the guy snagged at BWI. I'm sure he thought no one could tell. Is up to 364 days in jail worth the risk?

I'd like the restaurant ban to go away too, but until that July 1st come where it becomes legal I will keep OCing.

I don't really see how this is exclusivly an LEO question...

If you are unsure about opencarry, just take a look at the 50+ pages of the restaurant thread. You will see that the vast majority of the time people OC in restaurants without any problems:

We have x-ray eyes and can tell just by looking at you!

But seriously... it is not something we really look for. If you were to be arrested for something else.... maybe. I have not known ANY officer that has charged someone with that.

Oh! Is thaaaat the glazed, vacant expression I see on some police? Thank you for clearing that up for me.
I'll make you an offer: I will argue and fight for all of your rights, if you will do the same for me. That is the only way freedom can work. We have to respect all rights, all the time--and strive to win the rights of the other guy as much as for ourselves.

If I am equal to another, how can I legitimately govern him without his express individual consent?

There is no human being on earth I hate so much I would actually vote to inflict government upon him.

For those who do not know (and I am sure most here do), up until 1995 when Virginia went shall issue, it was legal for permit holders to carry concealedin Viriginia's restaurants licensed to serve alcohol.

See, e.g., http://www.2asisters.net/va/index.html (left side, fifth paragraph from bottom).

You are correct, .45. My wife and I got our permits under the old law, and it wasn't until "95 that I started to have to carry openly in restaurants. Of course, this is an example of an unintended consequence that had positive effects for us in the long run!
